Full description
An extraordinary Florence guided tour to visit the heart of the city and the Uffizi Gallery, the feather on the cap of Florence’s Museum Complex and one of the most visited museums in the world. After booking our Florence Uffizi Tour with admission ticket you will have direct access to the most important museum in Florence, avoiding the long waiting times at the ticket offices.
By joining this tour, in fact, you will visit the Florence Uffizi Gallery and get to know all the wonders of the Tuscan capital entertained by the interesting stories of our expert local guide.
Our unmissable Florence guided walking tour will begin in PIAZZA SANTA CROCE - one of the city's main squares - which owes its name to the basilica of the same name, one of the largest Franciscan churches and one of the greatest examples of Gothic style in Italy. The Basilica of Santa Croce is famous not only for preserving precious works by Giotto and Canova, but also for being the burial place of great masters such as Galilei, Michelangelo and Macchiavelli. To the right of the Basilica is the Pazzi Chapel, a pearl of Renaissance architecture built by Brunelleschi that can be reached through an impressive 14th century cloister.
The square is enriched by important palaces such as Palazzo Cocchi-Serristori and Palazzo dell'Antella, the monument dedicated to Dante Alighieri and the Baroque-style fountain by Giuseppe Manetti.
Owed to its size and regular shape, Piazza Santa Croce was the perfect location for popular festivals and contests, such as the Calcio Storico Fiorentino that is still held here.
The itinerary in the historical center of Florence will continue along LUNGARNO TORRIGIANI from which you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and the Vasari Corridor that, as our guide will explain, was once used by the Medici family to move in absolute discretion from their residence to Palazzo Vecchio without being noticed.
The next stop of our tour of Florence in the historical center will be the splendid PIAZZA DELLA SIGNORIA which, with its characteristic 'L' shape, has been the political heart of the city since the Middle Ages. The square is surrounded by very important buildings starting from PALAZZO VECCHIO - the traditional seat of the Florentine government - which, with its high tower, is one of the icons of Florence. In front of the building you can admire a copy of Michelangelo's famous David (the original is kept inside the Galleria dell'Accademia).
A not-to-be-missed sight is LOGGIA DEI LANZI, a true open-air museum with no equivalent in the world that dominates the square and which houses sculptures of inestimable value such as the striking 'Perseus' by Benvenuto Cellini and the 'Abduction of a Sabine Woman' by Giambologna. The guide will take you on a pleasant walk to admire these great masterpieces from the outside and learn about their long history.
Last leg of the Florence itinerary will be the guided tour of UFFIZI in Florence: thanks to the skip-the-line access you will avoid the long queue that often builds up in front of the ticket office. Botticelli, Giotto, Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci, Mantegna, Titian, Canaletto... the Uffizi Gallery houses some of the greatest world’s masterpieces. Our guide will concentrate on the most important rooms and works of the Gallery; at the end of the Uffizi tour you can stay inside the museum until closing time to further admire some of the works or visit the rooms not included in the guided itinerary.
So, do not hesitate to book our guided tour of Florence historical center! Get ready to spend an extraordinary afternoon imbued with history, tradition and world’s art masterpieces!

What an enjoyable couple of hours walking around Florence. So interesting to learn about the history and see the sights. We had a great time and would really recommend our guide who was very knowledgeable. The art inside the Uffizi Gallery was almost overwhelming, it’s really large!
