Our original cooking class in Tuscan, Florence will start in Mercato Centrale Square. Here, at the junction with Via Panicale, you will meet the expert chef who holds our cooking classes in Florence, Italy.
The first stage of our Florence cooking course, the Central Market, is not chosen at random ... Before starting the lesson itself, the chef will help you select the ingredients needed to prepare the dishes on the program. Besides learning how to choose the best ingredients, you can admire the beautiful building of the Florence Central Market, designed by Giuseppe Mengoni and inspired by the complex of Les Halles in Paris. Built in the second half of the 19th century to cope with the growth of the population of Florence, the Florence Food Market was officially opened in 1874 on the occasion of the international agriculture exhibition. The external structure of the food market in Florence, Italy incorporates materials such as iron, cast iron and glass and the style of the surrounding buildings, while the interior recreates the atmosphere of the outdoor markets thanks to the light coming from the high windows supporting the roof. Recently re-opened, today it blends tradition and modernity in a renovated environment, which retains the charm of a bustling market of the last century.
After carefully choosing the ingredients and the local products to be used during the preparation of the dishes chosen for you by the chef, the Tuscan cooking lesson in Florence will begin. The lecture will take place in a cooking school not far from the Florence Central Market, where the Chef will explain the basics of Tuscan cuisine following you step by step in the creation of the specialties that he has selected for you.
