After Firenze Fantasy, which took place in February, preparations are in full swing for one of the most important fantasy celebrations in Italy: Festa dell’Unicorno. From July 26 to 28, 2019, the charming village of Vinci will host elves, princesses, fairies and curious characters from legendary books and cartoons!

After the first edition in 2005, the Vinci Unicorn Festival has grown exponentially thanks to the very latest premieres and unforgettable events that every year make the historic centre of the Tuscan village become magical and enchanting. NEW THINGS AT THE UNICORN FESTIVAL TUSCANY 2019. The new edition of what can be described as the Fantasy Festival in Tuscany, with the region’s capital - Florence - at only 40 km, introduces even more thematic areas. The first novelty of the Unicorn Festival Vinci is the area dedicated to Steampunk, a genre of fantasy narrative where technologies and instruments of our times are anachronistically transported into the past. This part of the village will therefore be characterized by incredible machines mechanically or steam driven. In the new Steampunk area of the Festa dell’Unicorno 2019 you will also find themed animations, airships, krakens, amazing vehicles and shows from the world of steam. Furthermore, in this part of the festival, thanks to the collaboration with the Montelupo Astrophile Group, an observatory will be set up with various telescopes with which to admire stars and planets.

CLASSIC APPOINTMENTS. In Vinci - Tuscany Unicorn Festival traditional events such as 'Parata degli Elfi’ could not be missing: a fascinating parade that will bring a touch of magic to the streets of Vinci, ‘Vicolo della Paura’, a long and scary trail infested by the most terrible characters the human mind has ever conceived, the spectacular 'Disfida di Arti Magiche', the Body Painting contest and the original ‘Contest Creatura Fantastica’ where the GRV associations (Games Of Live Roles) will present their best monsters.

COSPLAY AREA. For two days in the indoor stage fun Traditional and Fantasy Races will be staged, while this year in anticipation of the Unicorn Festival 2019 the long-awaited F.U.O.C. O (Unicorn Online Cosplay Party) contest was held to select the poster of this edition. During the 15th edition of the Unicorn Festival, the Cosplay Contest will take place where participants will be rewarded according to various categories: best tailoring, armor, original fantasy, group, pair, single and best interpretation. There is no doubt that at the Festa Unicorno 2019 all cosplayers will find plenty of opportunities to show off their wonderful creations!

CONCERTS. Once again, the Unicorn Festival in Vinci will offer many opportunities to get things rocking with many Festa Unicorno International guests who will light up the various areas of the event. Some examples? The 26th will see Ocean Night, Nightwish Tribute Band, perform, the Chocoband Final Fantasy Tribute Band will instead perform on the 27th, while on the 28th Folkestone will land at the Vinci Festa dell’Unicorno. And if you want to feel again a bit like a child, on the 26th you can gorge on cartoon theme songs with Cristina D’Avena, a long-standing guest of Festa Unicorno.

FESTA UNICORNO INTERNATIONAL GUESTS. Harry Potter’s fans will not want to miss the chance to meet James and Oliver Phelps in Vinci, better known as the Weasly twins. The two darlings will be at the Unicorn Festival 2019 both on July 27 and 28 to meet their fans, give autographs and for photo sessions with the public. But it does not end there! In the Comics and Humor area there will be a lot going on with all things Harry Potter with faithful reconstructions of the saga settings, potions lessons, themed games and the Sorting Ceremony with the talking hat! But the Weasly twins are not the only international guests you can meet at the Unicorn Festival in Vinci. On July 26 there will also be Daniel Portman, the squire Tyrion Lannister of Game of Thrones. For him as well there will be crowds, autographs and photos!

CHILDREN: The succulent Unicorn Festival Cosplay program could not leave out little ones who will enjoy being surrounded by all the characters they usually see in their fairy tale books. However, there will be areas dedicated to them where they can have fun in all safety, as in the case of medieval games of the 'gnome village'. Even the young ones at the Tuscany Unicorn Festival can meet their favourite characters such as Lupo Lucio  from Melevisione.

In Vinci, the Unicorno Festival will end on Sunday with an unforgettable show: special effects, magic tricks and fireworks will leave the audience gobsmacked!
