Music, art and history. These are the main ingredients of 'Music on Sundays 2015. The air of unusual places', a series of guided tours and concerts of classical music in Florence, in the most charming historic buildings. These 'unusual places' of Tuscany open the doors of their beautiful rooms, full of art and history, to accommodate the notes of the most beautiful classical music, giving the public a truly unforgettable experience.

Created a few years ago on an experimental basis, this original project of Classical musical concert in Florence has become a fixture not only for citizens, but also for tourists and lovers of music and art in general, as demonstrated by the great success of the past editions.

The program of 'Music on Sunday in 2015 in Florence' is full of initiatives, some already present in the last year, others completely new: visitors will meet students of the School of Music of Fiesole with classical concerts in Tuscany at Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati now the headquarters of the Presidency of the Region, the Museum Casa Rodolfo Siviero in Florence, home of the minister and secret agent who became famous for being able to recover several works of art stolen by the German army during the Nazi occupation of our country, the Hospital Complex of Santa Maria Nuova, the oldest in Europe and the adjoining Church of St' Egidio.

A nice new feature this year for Florence classical music 2015 is the arrival on the scene of the Regional Council with the splendour of Palazzo Panciatichi where music, the absolute protagonist of the initiative, will offer the public an opportunity to visit the places where the Tuscan parliament conducts activities. To show the rooms that house the offices of the Council, on the first floor of the building a new and very interesting historical exhibition has been assembled.

The classical music concerts in Florence, Italy of young musicians of Fiesole will bring a breath of fresh air to this place, the heart of political life in Tuscany. Therefore, this is a great opportunity to enjoy classical music events in Florence!

At the Palazzo Panciatichi there will be two guided tours, the first at 9:30am and the second at 10.00am. In the suggestive Gonfalone Hall at 11.00 am you can attend the of TAAG String Quartet concert, composed by Thomas and Alessandra Fracaro Deut violins, Alessandro Curtoni viola and Julius Sanna cello. The ensemble was formed in Turin in 2011 and has since participated in numerous winning prestigious awards. Do not miss one of the most beautiful classical concerts in Florence!

Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati offers two guided tours at 9.30am and 10.00am. At 11:00am, in the beautiful Sala Pegasus, 'ConcerTiAmoBeethoven' will take place, an unmissable concert of classical music in Florence offered by two young pianists: John Nesi, born in 1986 and considered one of the most promising pianists, and the twenty-three  year old Marco Mantovani. He graduated from the 'Campiani' Mantua Conservatory with honours and a special honourable mention and winner of numerous national and international competitions. He is currently engaged in an advanced course taught by the famous pianist Andrea Lucchesin.

From 10.30am to midday the young guitarist Gabriel Putzulu entertain visitors with three mini-concerts at Casa Rodolfo Siviero. Still committed to his academic career, in 2014 the talented musician has won a major scholarship at the School of Music of Fiesole. The tours will be held instead at 10.00am, 11:00am and midday.

Classical concerts in Florence with the pianist Gesualdo Coggi, who will perform at the Sala Pegaso Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati at 11.00am. Raised in a musical family, the young Coggi obtained, in 2009, third place at the 57th Busoni International Piano Competition. Professor of piano at the Canepa Conservatory in Sassari, he attended the School of Music in Fiesole to further refine his artistic technique.

At Palazzo Strozzi, the two guided tours are scheduled for 9.30am and 11.00am

The old Hospital of Santa Maria Nuova and the adjoining Church of Sant'Egidio, open their doors to the public for two tours - at 9.00am and 11.00am - and for two classical concerts in Florence offered by the young harpist Fabrizio Aiello, at 10:25am and at 12.25pm. He graduated in 2012 with honours from the Piccinni Conservatory of Bari, this young harpist musician is part of the ICO Orchestra of Magna Grecia in Taranto and, currently, following a training course at the Fievole School of Music held by the expert harpist Susanna Bertuccioli.

From 11 October to 6 December 2015 'Music on Sundays' returns to Florence: the unusual places will welcome notes of the young musicians of the Fievole School of Music limits, providing a series of magical and really exciting classical concerts in Florence!
