From 13 to 24 July Piazza Santissima Annunziata in Florence will host the 2019 edition of Musart Festival: an incredible music and dance show combined with the opportunity to visit the art venues of the wonderful square in the heart of Florence. The event, now in its fourth edition, features a program full of great names. Kickstarting the event will be the show in Florence of ‘Bolle and Friends’, the dance gala where ‘the étoile of two worlds’ will perform together with other big stars on a magical and exciting evening. The Musart Festival will continue with an exciting succession of increasingly amazing concerts: De Gregori will be in Florence with an orchestra of 40 elements, followed by Loreena McKennitt, Steve Hackett, Gaetano Veloso and Danila Rea, to name a few.

What is peculiar about Florence Musart Festival, making it a unique event of its kind, is the possibility for ticket holders to freely visit some of the most beautiful places in Florence Piazza Santissima Annunziata: Instituto degli Innocenti, the Church of Santa Maria degli Innocenti, the Church of San Francesco il Poverino, the garden of the Archaeological Museum, the Basilica of Santissima Annunziata, the Military Geographic Institute and, new to this edition, the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. Basically, with the tickets of Musart Festival from 20.00 you can enjoy a visit to one of the places overlooking the square: an evocative and emotional journey where music, dance and places of art will be united in a unique synergy.

Also, as part of the Musart Festival in Florence, the photographic exhibition ‘Because the night’ will be on show, dedicated to the great concerts of the past, while in collaboration with Sky Arte, at the University of Piazza Brunelleschi, musical-themed documentary films will be screened.   • 13 July Roberto Bolle and Friends
    Roberto Bolle, acting both as the protagonist and artistic director, is bringing his show to Florence. An evening dedicated to international dance stars that will mix the most classic style with contemporary and even pop. Bolle and Friends in Florence is a unique opportunity for a dancing evening in an amazing setting.

  • 15 July Piovani dirige Piovani
    In 'Piovani dirige Piovani' the maestro will direct one of the jewels of the city of Florence, that is the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino which will perform pieces from some of its best-known soundtracks such as ‘La vita è bella’ or 'La notte di San Lorenzo'.

  • 16 July Francesco De Gregori & Orchestra
    The concert of Gregori in Florence during Musart Festival 2019 will feature a 40-piece orchestra that will accompany, together with the Gnu quartet and his band, the singer-songwriter as he plays live his greatest hits.

  • July 17 Rock The Opera
    Great hits from Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Queen and many other sacred monsters of Rock and Pop will be re-interpreted by the Orchestra of Tuscany which will host the soloists of the Prague Philarmonic Orchestra.

  • 18 July Steve Hackett
    The great Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, in Florence, will perform in a concert during which he will present the tracks from his album 'Selling England by the Pound' considered a true masterpiece.

  • 19 July Caetano Veloso
    The Brazilian singer-songwriter will join the line-up with his most famous songs such as ‘Hinterland’ and ‘O Leaozinho’. This concert, however, has something special in store as Caetano Veloso in Florence will perform with his sons Moreno, Tom and Zeca.

  • 20 July Loreena McKennitt
    The Canadian singer-songwriter, Loreena McKennitt in Florence will showcase the Celtic atmospheres of her songs in which folks’ music is mixed with songwriting and popular tradition.

  • 22 July Great Barrier concert, Game of Thrones Tribute Experience
    If you are a fan of the television series ‘Game of Thrones’ this evening of the Musart Festival in Piazza Santissima Annunziata is one not to be absolutely missed! The Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, born from the union of the best instrumentalists from the most important national theaters, will perform a tribute to the soundtrack of the famous television series.

  • 23 July Perigeo One Shot Reunion
    Among the concerts of the Musart Festival 2019 this is an all-new and Florence-only event: ‘Perigeo’, the 1970s band and icon of Italian rock-jazz band experimentations is in fact staging a reunion. Hitting the stage in Piazza Santissima Annunziata will be a very similar formation to the original one with a special guest, the percussionist Alex "Pacho" Rossi.

  • 24 July Sunrise concert with Danilo Rea
    The program of Musart Festival in 2019 ends with a concert we can only describe as truly exciting: a sunrise concert! Yes, yes, you read it right, because it all starts at 4.45 in the morning. Don't worry, if you can manage the early morning rise, Danilo Rea's concert in Florence in the Cortile Degli Uomini of the Istituto Degli Innocenti will give you a truly unforgettable experience. What’s more, you will also be served free breakfast!
