The Kandinsky exhibition in Florence tells in a very engaging way the rise of the neo avant-garde after World War II through the constant relationship between European and American artists. The decision to set it up in Florence, wants to be a kind of homage to the bond between the beautiful location and Peggy Guggenheim which takes us back in time. In fact, in 1949 the collector chose Palazzo Strozzi to expose this exhibition which will later be held in Venice for its final location.
Curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, this extraordinary art exhibition in Florence is a collaboration between the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation and the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation of New York. The tried and tested collaboration between the many institutions linked to the world of art, gives rise to really interesting projects and in this case, makes public a precious fragment of contemporary art of the 20th century.
